A room with something to say

Style that speaks to your space

Some rooms want softness. Others want contrast, richness, or restraint. It depends on the light. The layout. The view into the garden. The way you use the space, for reading, relaxing, or entertaining.

We work with you to understand what your living space needs, and how you want it to feel.

Possibilities might include:

Large Scale Patterns

Scale of fabrics is a great way to add statement to a room. A good design motto is to mix small, medium and large scale patterns, but never put patterns of the same scale next to each other.

Contemporary or Geometric

Choosing contemporary fabrics, here embroidered neutrals with a strong green border, in a traditional room. The curtains are perfectly balanced against the chinoiserie mural adorning the walls.

Bold Borders

We love adding borders to curtains. They add so much to a scheme, and allow space for other patterns to be played with throughout the room.

Bay Windows

Bay windows offer an opportunity for a wonderful framing of a view, both inside and out. We love designing for them and you can find out more here.

We work closely with you to create curtains that feel harmonious in your space. Whether calm and understated, or rich and layered with personality.

A room that comes together

The right curtains can help pull everything into harmony. The furniture, the colours, the architecture. In period homes, they can respect the bones of the building while offering something fresh. In newer homes, they can add softness and a sense of permanence.

We often think of these as conversational spaces, and well-made curtains help shape the conversation. They absorb sound, soften acoustics, and create intimacy.

Designed with memory in mind

For many of us, drawing the curtains in the evening is a ritual. It signals warmth, privacy, comfort. As a child, you may have watched the last light filter through fabric, or hidden behind folds to play. Those impressions last.

We think curtains should still feel that way. Personal, gentle, grounding. And every element we design is there to enhance that feeling, in your home, your way.

Let's begin with your room

We invite you to visit our showrooms in Richmond or Dartmouth, or to book a consultation. Bring a photo of your window, your Pinterest board, or just a feeling. We’ll help you bring the room together, beautifully.

The showroom visit is followed by a free home visit to design and measure.
